Nicholas Brodszki, MD, PhD

Nicholas Brodszki, MD, PhD, is a senior consultant at Childrens’ Hospital, Skåne University Hospital, Lund, Sweden. He received his MD from Umeå University, Sweden and his PhD from Lund University, Sweden. He completed his training in paediatric allergy and immunology at Childrens’ Hospital, Lund University Hospital where he works since then. He is in charge of the paediatric immunology department the referral centre for Southern Sweden and one of the three national referral centres. He is taking care of patients with primary immunodeficiencies and lately is working within the field of paediatric haematology as well. Dr. Brodszki’s research spans many aspects of primary immunodeficiency, from epidemiological studies to genetic diagnosis and haematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
He is member of national and European groups committed to the care of patients with immunodeficiencies. He is a strong proponent for primary immunodeficiency awareness and have contributed to the development of services in Sweden. He is currently the president of the Swedish Physicians Association for Immunodeficiency.
